Repertorium Czynności Tłumacza Przysięgłego
Every certified translation must be entered into the Repertorium Czynności Tłumacza Przysięgłego — the statutory record book of sworn translator actions, required under Article 17 of the Act of 25 November 2004. Each entry records the date, client details, document, language pair, number of pages and fee. The Ministry of Justice inspects repertories regularly.
If a document bearing a sworn translator’s stamp is suspected to be a forgery, any party can contact the translator named on the stamp — which must be fully legible under Polish law — and request verification against the repertory. A genuine translation always has a corresponding entry. Registration number TP/122/24 is independently verifiable on the Ministry of Justice register at any time.
